This phrase sums up Carsten Buhl’s way of working with design development. Each piece of furniture is an exciting challenge – and has its own story. The aim is always to create practical and functional high-quality furniture design, and ideally based on Scandinavian design traditions.

Carsten Buhl has designed the Mette chair, the One tables and the MeTube chair for Hammel Furniture.

Carsten Buhl embraces design philosophies from early modern and post-modern masters, and reinvents them using new materials and technologies in a contemporary context in which the cradle-to-grave principle and a minimal carbon footprint play a key role.

Danish architect and creative furniture designer. Born 1965, graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1993.
